WEATHER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Wednesday, 12/7/16

- Volunteers are needed to assemble Horn of Plenty packages tonight.  Due to the weather a large group has cancelled plans to come.  If you can help, please come to the H.O.P. center, 3500 East Burdick Expressway, starting at 5:30 pm.  (former Wholesale Foods - big gold building on south side of the street) The more volunteers that come, the quicker the work will go.  Thank you!

 

- Busses will run from Ramstad to the Municipal Auditorium starting at 2:50 PM today. For those parents who want to pick their children up at the school, the only access will on 36th Ave. NW from North Broadway to the school.
16th Street NW from 30th Ave to 36th Ave is blocked due to blowing snow and zero visibility. All other major roads in Minot are open for travel at this time. Motorist need to be aware that the wind is constantly changing the conditions of all roadways and they need to be prepared for zero visibility and deep snow that may cause lower profile vehicles to get stuck.

 

- First Assembly of God in Minot is cancelling tonight's performance of the Singing Christmas Tree

- First Baptist of Minot: all activites cancelled

- Grace Lutheran Church in Bottineau: no activities

- Immanuel Baptist of Minot: soup kitchen cancelled

- St Mark's Lutheran of Minot: worship service & activities cancelled

 

- Parkinson's Support Group is postponed to Wed. Dec 14th 2:30 pm at Brentmoor

 

- The NDDOT & the NDHP have issued a No Travel Advisory for portions of northwestern and north central North Dakota due to near zero visibility. Cities included in the No Travel Advisory are: Minot, Harvey, Bottineau, Crosby, Stanley, Bowbells, New Town and surrounding areas. Motorists should not travel as blowing and drifting snow is creating hazardous driving conditions.

- No Travel Advised due to blowing snow reducing visibility in Barnes, Burke, Pierce & Renville Co.

- City of Minot has declared a  Snow Emergency. All vehicles need to be removed from streets for snow removal
