MINOT, ND – The Minot Metros hosted the Bismarck Reps on Thursday. The Metros got a walk-off win in game two of the doubleheader after scoring 5 times in the bottom of the 9th.

HOT TOTS
 
MINOT, ND – The Minot Hot Tots played a day-night doubleheader in Willmar, MN as part of a 4-game series. in game one Minot led 4-2 entering the bottom of the 5th when the Stingers scored 3 times, then added 5 runs in the 6th and 2 in the 7th to secure a 12-8. in the nightcap, Willmar put up 9 runs in the 7th inning in defeating the Hot Tots 14-3. They’ll finish the series tonight as the Stingers go for the sweep. Minot has lost five in a row. The Hot Tots return home to host Bismarck on Saturday night.

SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT
 
MINOT, ND – It will be a busy weekend of softball in the Magic City. 86 teams from North Dakota and Minnesota converge on Minot for the North Dakota Junior Olympic Fastpitch State Tournament. Teams range from ages 10 and under to 18 and under. Games will be played at the South Hill Complex and the Sertoma Complex on North Hill. This is the first time Minot has hosted the tournament since 2019.

NISSLEY-HALL OF FAME EXHIBIT
 
BISMARCK, N.D. – Bismarck Century graduate Logan Nissley will have her high school jersey hung in the Ring of Honor exhibit in the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee, in recognition of her outstanding play in the 2022-23 season. The Patriot stand-out was a three-time Gatorade Player of the Year and was named 2023 North Dakota Miss Basketball. Nissley will be playing college basketball at the University of Nebraska this fall.
