MSU BASEBALL
 
MINOT, ND – The Minot State baseball team won the Battle of the Beavers at Corbett Field yesterday sweeping Bemidji State in a doubleheader by scores of 4-2 and then 5-3. Minot State improves to 26-18, 20-9 NSIC and sits in fourth place in the NSIC standings. The Beavers will have their Senior Weekend next as they finish the regular season hosting St. Cloud State in three games this weekend. A doubleheader begins at 1:30 pm Friday with a single game to follow Saturday at Noon at Corbett Field.

TWINS-ORIOLES
 
BALTIMORE (AP) — Ryan Jeffers hit a tiebreaking, three-run homer in the sixth inning and the surging Minnesota Twins defeated the Baltimore Orioles 7-2 Tuesday night for their fourth straight victory. The Twins have won 11 of 12 to move six games over .500 (15-9) and into first place in the AL Central, which does not have another team with a winning record. Minnesota has outscored the opposition 63-25 during in the last 12 games, including 27-7 during its current four-game win streak.
