WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - Authorities have issued arrest warrants for two people in a Williston beating that might have left a man brain dead.

An affidavit says officers responded to a fight early Friday and found Dean Neiderklopher on the ground and unresponsive. Police say he remains unresponsive in a Minot hospital and is expected to be declared brain dead.

Witnesses told police that Kyle Siler had beaten Neiderklopher with a fist. Police have issued an arrest warrant for Siler on an aggravated assault charge.

Authorities believe Siler is leaving the state with his girlfriend, Jessica Gibson. They have issued an arrest warrant for her on a charge of hindering law enforcement.
