EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford's left knee has so far responded well to two weeks of rest, raising the possibility of a return for the next game at Chicago on Monday. Bradford said today he is "definitely feeling better" after practicing with the team on a limited basis Thursday. That was his first work on the field in two weeks. He has missed the last three games because of soreness and swelling from an injury that occurred in the season opener.

Bradford declined to divulge the specific diagnosis, but said he's experiencing a residual effect of ACL surgeries he had in 2013 and 2014. Case Keenum has filled in, while the Vikings have lost two of three. They play Monday against the Bears.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Green Bay Packers running back Ty Montgomery is listed as doubtful to play against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday because of broken ribs. Montgomery got hurt in last week's win over the Chicago Bears. He appeared to be wearing a flak jacket under his jersey while practicing on a limited basis this week.

Backup running back Jamaal Williams, who hurt his knee in the Bears game, was dropped from the injury report today and should be available against Dallas.

Receiver Davante Adams was listed as questionable. He remains in the concussion protocol following a helmet-to-helmet hit by Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan, though he has been moving around well at practice.

Also questionable are offensive tackles David Bakhtiari (hamstring), Bryan Bulaga (ankle), cornerback Davon House (quad) and defensive tackle Mike Daniels (hip).

CLEVELAND (AP) - Jacoby Ellsbury will serve as New York's designated hitter in Game 2 of the AL Division Series against the Indians tonight. Yankees manager Joe Girardi is going with Ellsbury over Chase Headley because of his success in the past against Cleveland ace Corey Kluber. The Indians won the opener 4-0 over the Yankees.

WASHINGTON (AP) - John Lackey is on the World Series champion Chicago Cubs' roster for their NL Division Series against the Washington Nationals. Lackey was not among the starting pitchers that Cubs manager Joe Maddon had announced for the NLDS that begins in Washington tonight, so his status is in doubt.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Relievers Pedro Baez and Ross Stripling are on the Los Angeles Dodgers' roster for their NL division series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
