BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Former University of Mary standout defensive lineman John Oyloe is getting a shot at the NFL.   The North Dakota school says Oyloe has been invited to the Minnesota Vikings rookie minicamp later this week, where he'll have a chance to earn a free agent contract.   The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Oyloe is a native of Williston. He was a three-time All-Northern Sun player for the Marauders. He is Mary's all-time leader in tackles for loss, with 41, and is second in career sacks, with 27.5.

VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) - University of South Dakota linebacker Tyler Starr says being drafted by the NFL's Atlanta Falcons is "an unreal feeling."   The Falcons took Starr with the 255th pick in the draft - the second-to-last player chosen.   Starr is from Little Rock, Iowa. He issued a statement saying he can't wait to get his pro career started.
Several other players from South Dakota schools got free agent contracts or minicamp invites.   USD cornerback Jarrid Bryant signed a free agent contract with the St. Louis Rams and offensive lineman Cody O'Neill was invited to the Minnesota Vikings minicamp. South Dakota State tackle Bryan Witzmann and defensive end-outside linebacker Doug Peete got free agent contracts with the Houston Texans. Northern State lineman Jon Caspers got a Vikings minicamp invite.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - The newest addition to the University of North Dakota football team hails from the Netherlands.   Linebacker Dylan Bakker grew up in Amsterdam. He played at West Hills College in California and has now committed to play for UND in his two years of remaining college eligibility.
Coach Bubba Schweigert says Bakker has wanted to play NCAA Division I football since he was 12 and made a lot of sacrifices to get to the U.S. to get the opportunity.   Bakker had 123 tackles and six sacks in his two seasons at West Hills.
Bakker participated in the International Federation of American Football development program and played for the IFAF World Team in the 2013 International Bowl.  He also played for the Dutch Lions, the national team of the Netherlands.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Lynx say forward Rebekkah Brunson will be sidelined indefinitely after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on her right knee today.   The 6-foot-2 forward finished her 10th WNBA season and her fourth with the Lynx last season by appearing in 33 games and averaging 10.6 points and a team-high 8.9 rebounds per game.
Brunson finished the 2013 season ranked fifth in the league in rebounding, 15th in steals and 15th in blocks. She also tied her own franchise single-season record, set in 2010, with 12 double-doubles.

UNDATED (AP) - The decisive seventh game of the Pittsburgh-New York Eastern Conference NHL semifinal is being played tonight on the Penguins' home ice. The Blackhawks top the Wild 3-2 after winning the fifth game Sunday 2-1. Should a seventh game be called for, it will take place in Chicago Thursday night. Since 2009 the Blackhawks are 11-2 in games with an opportunity to clinch a series. Chicago is also 13-0 over the same time span in the fifth and sixth games of series that were tied 2-2.
